THE VFMWERKS COLLECTION

Find your obsession.

From the GT-R lineage to rare Type R and rally specials. Choose the model. Define the details. Start the search.

24 models · Sourcing references

A model collection, sourced to your brief. Photos show auction examples; they do not represent owned stock or an offer to sell those specific cars. Every vehicle is quoted individually.

FROM THE FIRST IDEA TO THE FINAL PLAN

Make the search count.

A clear brief, a documented car and a considered import plan. The important decisions happen before a purchase.

01 /

Define your car.

Start with model, specification, preferred colors, budget and destination state. Decide which details are essential.

02 /

Review the candidate.

Request the individual car’s history, auction information, photos and inspection scope. Understand condition and modifications.

03 /

Know the full cost.

Review a written quote covering purchase, fees, freight and the applicable import costs before agreeing to buy.

04 /

Plan the arrival.

Confirm eligibility, documentation, shipping arrangements and the requirements for registration in your state.

THE VFMWERKS MINDSET

More than
a badge on the bonnet.

It’s the right specification. The story in the records. The details that make one car feel like yours. Our collection is built around the Japanese cars that made driving an obsession.

From a carefully chosen driver to a rare collector model, the starting point is the same: know what you want, and know what you’re buying.

RACE DRIVEN. PURPOSE BUILT.

An inquiry is not a purchase or reservation. Availability and costs are confirmed for an individual vehicle.

BEFORE THE FIRST BID

Import essentials.

Are the pictured cars available to buy?

These are model sourcing pages. Photographs and historical results are credited auction references, not VFMWerks-owned stock. The exact car, mileage, condition, price and availability are supplied when an individual candidate is identified.

How does the 25-year import rule work?

NHTSA’s age-based exemption runs from the vehicle’s manufacture date, not simply its model year. Exact build-date evidence must be checked for the planned entry date. Later 2001 builds and 2002 variants are not automatically eligible in October 2026. Read NHTSA’s guidance ↗

Does age alone settle emissions and registration?

No. EPA requirements are separate; its older-vehicle provisions include engine configuration requirements. State title, emissions and registration rules must also be checked for the specific car and destination. Modified cars require particular attention. Read EPA’s guidance ↗

What should a landed-cost quote include?

Ask for the vehicle price, auction and sourcing fees, Japan transport and export handling, ocean freight and insurance, customs brokerage, applicable duties and tariffs, port charges and US transport. State tax, registration and remedial work may be separate. Rates and vehicle-specific requirements are checked at quote time.

Why show historical auction results?

They add context to the particular reference car shown. They are not current model-wide valuations, promised resale returns or your purchase price. Condition, specification, originality, modifications, location and the sale date can change the comparison substantially.
